Crystal Palace will be hoping to give their travelling support something to shout about in their final away game of the Premier League season on Thursday night.
Relegation-threatened Everton are their opponents, and although Patrick Vieira’s Eagles were tipped to struggle at the beginning of the season, they enter this one free from any such anxieties.
Here is the starting XI Vieira seems most likely to go with…
Vicente Guaita (GK) – Jack Butland started between the sticks against Aston Villa but natural first-choice Guaita will likely replace him here.
Nathaniel Clyne (RB) – Clyne has enjoyed a terrific calendar year so far and deserves to go into next season as Vieira’s starting right-back.
Joachim Andersen (CB) – A master distributor from the back, no player has completed more long passes in the Premier League this season.
Marc Guehi (CB) – The former Chelsea man has been composure personified since his summer switch.
Tyrick Mitchell (LB) – Back in the fold after a spell on the sidelines to recharge. His return is good news as he is comfortably Palace’s best left-sided defender.
Conor Gallagher (CM) – Recently crowned Palace’s Player of the Season. At the ceremony Steve Parish joked that the fans should have a ‘whip round’ to make his loan move permanent.
Chiekhou Kouyate (CM) – Recently caused controversy by supporting international teammate Idrissa Gueye in his decision to refuse to wear the pride rainbow. Vieira confirmed he would speak with him about the incident.
Jeffrey Schlupp (CM) – Came on the grab the equaliser against Aston Villa – his fourth Premier League of the season.
Eberechi Eze (RW) – Has probably put in his best displays in a Palace shirt since returning from injury in recent weeks.
Odsonne Edouard (ST) – Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal drought means Edouard should be handed a start.
Wilfried Zaha (LW) – Palace’s creative and goalscoring talisman. Has managed 13 goals in the league this season.
