Attending NBA games can be an expensive exercise at the best of times, and now that the Finals have arrived, the Warriors are here to ruin you financially.
The average ticket price for Game 1 is $1759, according to Logitix. Standard lower bowl seats are going for as much as $5000 and courtside seats are in the neighborhood of $40,000.
Then there’s the resale market, where some madman is selling “VIP Row AA” seats for more than $70,000 each. Just for reference, here are some things that cost less than that:
– A month-long trip around the world with 5-star accommodation
– Various models of Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Maserati
– Your own island (rent not buy, let’s not go crazy here)
– 28 Cameo videos from Caitlyn Jenner
You’ll even be able to take a trip into space for a price vaguely comparable to those seats if you’re willing to wait long enough.
The point is, these ticket prices are next level. Even Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, two men who are well accustomed to dealing with large sums of money, couldn’t believe how much tickets were going for.
Don’t call Jaylen Brown for NBA Finals tickets 💀

It’s worth noting that because the Warriors own and operate the Chase Center, they have the flexibility to set ticket prices as they wish.
And now that Golden State has a multi-championship winning team and a new waterfront arena for them to play in, getting a seat to watch the magic happen does not come cheaply.
