In less than two years competing for the UFC, former Bellator champion Michael Chandler has established himself as one of the most exciting fighters with the promotion – and he wants all the big opportunities, but none bigger than Conor McGregor.
After beating Tony Ferguson with a Knockout of the Year candidate Saturday at UFC 274, Chandler delivered an epic promo when speaking with Joe Rogan inside the octagon. He called for rematches against the winner of Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje – which ended up being Oliveira – for the vacant lightweight title, and then he went next-level with his callout of McGregor. Since then, Chandler also has entertained fighting Nate Diaz, who seems to be interested. And so does McGregor.
Any of those fights involving Chandler are just about a lock to be pure violence, but we all know McGregor would be the biggest of them all. In the words of UFC president Dana White, “Who the hell wouldn’t want to see that fight?” And so, is McGregor vs. Chandler THE fight to make right now?
That’s what we asked our Spinning Back Clique panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn and Nolan King with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia. Check out their conversation in the video above, and don’t miss the full episode below.
