Kershaw probably ‘a couple weeks away’ from bullpen session

The first few weeks of the 2022 season were going just about as good as Clayton Kershaw could have asked for.

In his season debut against the Minnesota Twins, he hurled seven perfect innings. During his final start of April, the southpaw became the Los Angeles Dodgers’ all-time strikeout leader.

Following his fifth outing of the year in early May against the Chicago Cubs, Kershaw seemed well on his way to his ninth All-Star appearance this season with a 4-0 record, 1.80 ERA and 0.73 WHIP. Then, the future Hall of Famer was placed on the injured list with a pelvic issue, and it was reported earlier this week that Kershaw wasn’t ready for mound work yet.

On Friday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave another update.
