Fulham are hopeful of agreeing a double swoop for Liverpool duo Neco Williams and Takumi Minamino, 90min understands.
The two clubs are on amicable terms after agreeing deals to send Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho from west London to Merseyside in recent years, and the Cottagers hope their good relationship with the Reds will help them in their pursuit of reinforcements.
Wales international Williams was hugely impressive during his loan spell at Fulham for the second half of the 2021/22 season, helping them to the Championship title.
However, they face competition from a number of Premier League sides for his signature. Fellow promoted outfit Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and west London rivals Brentford are all interested in Williams after missing out on Djed Spence, who is expected to sign for Tottenham.
Listen now to 90min’s brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth. This week Harry Symeou steps in for Scott and the trio discuss the futures of Bukayo Saka, Rafael Leao, Romelu Lukaku, Kalvin Phillips, Youri Tielemans, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raphinha, Gabriel Jesus and more.
Liverpool are open to selling Williams for around £15m as they are set to conclude a deal to sign Aberdeen starlet Calvin Ramsay.
Like Williams, Minamino too has plenty of Premier League admirers. Southampton – where the Japan international spent time on loan – Brighton, Leeds and Wolves are keen on the winger, and there remains interest for him across Europe.
