Former New York Giants punter Riley Dixon, who was a cap casualty this offseason, has signed a one-year deal with the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
The 28-year-old punter started his career with the Denver Broncos in 2016 and spent the last four seasons with the Giants. In 2021, Dixon punter 74 times for 3,283 yards with a net average of 39.5 yards. Dixon saw 24 of his punts get pinned inside the 20-yard line.
Dixon was released by the Giants on March 10, which freed up approximately $2.8 million in cap space. He was replaced on the roster by Jamie Gillan.
In Los Angeles, Dixon will replace three-time All-Pro Johnny Hekker, who was also a cap casualty this season. He has moved on to Carolina.
