Boston Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum out-dueled Milwaukee Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo in his team’s 108-95 win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
“Everybody had a bad taste in their mouth,” Tatum said in regards to losing the previous game at home, via ESPN.
“Watching film, learning from it. The eagerness. We were upbeat. We weren’t defeated. Knowing that we still had an opportunity to save our season to come in here and get a win. We believed that. We truly did. We believe in each other and I think it showed tonight.”
Tatum had 46 points, nine rebounds, and four assists on 17-32 shooting from the field, 7-15 shooting from three, and 5-7 shooting from the line.
Antetokounmpo had a Wilt Chamberlain-esque stat line of 44 points, 20 rebounds, and six assists on 14-30 shooting from the field, 2-3 shooting from three, and 14-15 shooting from the line.
Jrue Holiday was the Bucks’ second highest scorer with 17 points on 7-17 shooting.
The Celtics and Bucks will face off in Game 7 on Sunday (5/15) at 3:30 PM EST.
